Fees & Policies

Resort Fee: Please Note; you will be charged a separate, daily $20 Resort Fee per room not included in room rate. This fee is taxable. The Resort Fee includes: 

• Internet access
• Business center use
• In town transportation
• Other services & amenities to enhance your stay
• Access to the spa
• Daily newspapers
• Bottled water
• Ski Valet

Please Note: Vail Resorts Lodging Company has partnered with the National Forest Foundation to support projects that improve and enhance the White River National Forest. As part of this initiative, a voluntary donation of $1 per room for each night of your stay will automatically be added to your bill. 100% of your contribution will be forwarded to the National Forest Foundation. For every dollar contributed by guests, the National Forest Foundation will invest $1.50 in on-the-ground conservation. If you do not wish to make this contribution, simply let the front desk staff know and it will be removed from your bill immediately.

Parking: There is a daily parking fee of $20 in the summer and $25 in the winter.

Tax Information: There is a 9.8% lodging, state, and local tax applicable to every room charge.

Non-Holiday Winter Deposit & Cancellation Policies:
Applicable for the Arrival Dates: Nov. 22, 2013 - Dec. 19, 2013; Jan. 6, 2014 - Feb. 13, 2014; Feb. 19, 2014 - Apr. 20, 2014

• Deposit of 10% of total reservation value will be taken at the time of booking as a non-refundable deposit.The remaining balance plus tax will be charged to the credit card on file 30 days prior to your arrival date.
• Cancellation outside of 30 days prior to arrival will result in the forfeiture of the 10% deposit. Cancellation within 30 days of your arrival date will result in a full forfeiture of the entire reservation value plus tax.

Holiday Winter Deposit & Cancellation Policies:
Applicable for the Arrival Dates: Dec. 20, 2013 - Jan. 5, 2014; Feb. 14 - Feb. 18, 2014

• Deposit of 25% of total reservation value will be taken at the time of booking as a non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance plus tax will be charged to the credit card on file 45 days prior to your arrival date.
• Cancellation outside of 45 days prior to arrival will result in the forfeiture of the 25% deposit. Cancellation within 45 days of your arrival date will result in a full forfeiture of the entire reservation value plus tax.

Summer Deposit & Cancellation Policies:
Applicable for the Arrival Dates: Apr. 21, 2013 - Nov. 21, 2013 & Apr. 21, 2014 - Nov. 26, 2014

• Deposit: In spring, summer and fall seasons - $50 deposit will be taken at the time of booking as a non refundable deposit. The remaining balance plus tax will be charged to the credit card on file 48 hours prior to your arrival date.
• Cancellation: In spring, summer, and fall seasons, cancellation outside 48 hours to your arrival date will result in a forfeiture of the $50 deposit.
  Cancellation within 48 hours of your arrival date will result in full forfeiture of the entire reservation value plus tax.

We also offer travel insurance through TravelGuard. Please let us know if you are interested in protecting your vacation.

Credit Card Policy: The Lodge at Vail accepts the following credit cards: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Diners Club.

Check In and Check Out Times: Check-in begins at 4 p.m., and checkout must be completed by 11 a.m.  Late checkout will be subject to availability. (Please check with the front desk on the morning of your departure.)

Children Policy: Children under 12 years of age stay free with adults when using existing bedding. Children 12 years of age and older, however, will incur charges over double occupancy in guest rooms. This is a $25 extra charge per night per child. The maximum amount of adults in one room is two. The Lodge at Vail concierge can arrange babysitting services and assist guests with activities geared toward children.

Pet Policy: The Lodge at Vail allows pets in limited guest rooms and private residences.

Smoking Policy: Smoking is not permitted inside the hotel at any time.

Guest Room Phone Charges: Local and toll free calls are free for the first 20 minutes, after that it is a charge of $1 for each 10 minute period. Long distance & international calls will vary depending on location called. Prevailing hotel phone charges will apply.

Copies & Faxes: All copies and faxes are complimentary.

Travel Agent Commissions: Rates available via our online reservations engine are not commissionable to travel agents. Other travel arrangements are commissionable at 10% and are paid within 30 days from the date of room use.
