Map your directions to The Lodge at Vail
From Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport
- Take Cooley Mesa Road (main airport road) to Highway 6.
- Take a right on Highway 6. You will be heading east. Follow Highway 6 to signs for Interstate 70 (I-70) east.
- Proceed on I-70 east until you reach the second Vail exit, Vail Village #176.
- As you arrive at the roundabout, take the second exit, heading directly toward Vail Mountain.
- As you continue, you will cross the Gore Creek Bridge, and the road will arc to the left. The entrance gate to The Lodge at Vail will be on your right-hand side.
From Denver International Airport or any points east of Vail
- Take I-70 west until you reach the second Vail exit, Vail Village #176.
- Go around the roundabout, under I-70, and then straight through the second roundabout, heading directly toward Vail Mountain.
- As you continue, you will cross the Gore Creek Bridge, and the road will arc to the left. The entrance gate to The Lodge at Vail will be on your right-hand side.
Train Travel
If travel by train is your preference, Amtrak services run from the east and west coasts both to Denver and through the stunning Glenwood Canyon to historic Glenwood Springs—just 40 miles away from Vail.

Vail/Eagle County Airport (EGE)
Located approximately 36 miles west of Vail on Interstate 70, Vail/Eagle County Airport houses the largest domestic airlines providing air service from virtually every U.S. city. Airlines serving Vail/Eagle County Airport with non-stop flights include American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, United Airlines, and US Airways. Services from major U.S. cities provide convenient connections for international travelers. Car rentals, taxi, and shuttle services are also available at the airport. The Lodge at Vail is easily reached by car from Eagle/Vail Airport or from Denver International Airport.

Vail Valley Jet Center
If you will be arriving in the Vail Valley via private aircraft, the Vail Valley Jet Center can assist you with aircraft storage and services. With seven acres of ramp parking and over 110,000 square feet of hangar space, there will always be room for your aircraft. The jet center also provides catering services, flight planning assistance, aircraft maintenance and cleaning, and full concierge services. Denver International Airport (DEN)
Denver International Airport, located 110 miles east of Vail, welcomes thousands of vacationers to the Colorado Rockies throughout the summer and winter seasons. Located just east of Denver, DIA is a convenient drive from Vail via the well-maintained Interstate 70. DIA also serves as a nonstop destination for several national and international flights. Car rentals, taxi, and shuttle services are available at the airport.

Getting to and from the Denver International Airport or Vail/Eagle County Airport on the Colorado Mountain Express is easy! Both airports provide shuttle services on a continual schedule to and from their properties, and these services will take you directly to your accommodations in a comfortable, timely manner. Several carriers offer reasonably priced, convenient, scheduled shuttle service between the airport and The Lodge at Vail.
